1st Meeting in Cyprus 25th — 28th November 2004

Presents: the following representatives of the Consortium Partners:

Agenda issues:

The Coordinator Prof. Praussello presents the main objectives of the research program. In addition a thorough check of the EU administrative rules and of the financial contents of the project is carried out.

2nd Meeting in Istanbul 13-17 January 2005

Presents: the following representatives of theConsortium Partners:

Agenda issues:

The Coordinator Prof. Praussello presented the main objectives of the research programme taking into consideration the specific goal of the meeting, which was convened to inform all the researchers involved in the Project, who were not able to attend the meeting held in Cyprus on 25th-28th November 2004. The skills of the participants of the meeting have been checked in the following terms:

  1. Prof. Praussello, Prof. Oulhaj, Prof. Özkale (economists);
  2. Prof. Hadhri (expert in politology, sociology, economics and environmental protection)

Besides, a thorough check of the EU administrative rules and of the financial contents of the Project was carried out.

3rd COORDINATION MEETING IN CAIRO

24-27 FEBRUARY 2005

Present:the following representatives of the Consortium Partners:

Agenda issues:

  1. 1st part of the research "A Barcelona Process Balance Sheet".

State of the research in the different fields (institutional, juridical, political affairs, economics, financial, regulatory and sociological issues). Deadline — May 2005.

  1. Planning of the 2nd part of the research (advanced papers in the different fields). Deadline — November 2005.

  2. Setting of the web-site. Deadline — May 2005.

  3. Administrative issues.

Scheduled activities

  1. Establishment of a Research Network among the EU Universities (University of Genoa, University of Athens, University of Cyprous, Panteion University —Greece) and those from the South Mediterranean (University of Tunis, University of Rabat) and the East Mediterranean (Technical University of Istanbul, University of Cairo).

  1. Collective achievements of the research works performed with young researchers

March- May 2005: the 1st stage of research "A Barcelona Process Balance Sheet"

June —November 2005: the 2nd stage of research "Sustainable Development and the relationship with EU"

  1. Research achievements disseminations through a seminar and an international conference.

February —May 2006: Presentation and Dissemination of the research

  1. Establishment of an Euro-Mediterranean Observatory on the Sustainable Development in Athens.

Presentation of the Network
